Specialty Coffee. Scratch Bakery. Roastery. Gathering Place.

In 2017, after years of dreaming, Dana and Pete Petrizzio brought their vision for The Farmhouse Coffee & Espresso Bar to life in the Borough of Downingtown. Our vision was to create a coffee house and bakery that would become part of the community… a daily and weekly ritual, a destination where someone could pop in for a quality coffee and delicious pastry to bring home to their family, or to sit and savor it, perhaps over work. We wanted to bring all of the tasty and classic pastry recipes that Dana developed and enjoyed making at home for years to be paired perfectly with a great cup of coffee… this changed the landscape of the West End of town and finally brought the world of specialty coffee to Downingtown.

Our café features our freshly roasted Single Origin and Blended Coffee Beans. All of our coffee is roasted daily, on-site in our Roastery. Our on-site bakery offers a classic and unique pastry menu featuring doughnuts, croissants, coffee cakes, scones, muffins, savory pastry and cookies, all baked fresh daily. The coffee bar features a robust menu of hand crafted coffee, tea and artisan beverages with something for everyone – even those who do not drink coffee!

The Farmhouse is a place to work, gather and socialize with family and friends over the best “Coffee & Cake”. It is an extension of our home…a place where you can sit, enjoy a delicious latte and fresh doughnut or pastry while reading your favorite book, getting work done or chatting with friends. Our space is friendly and cozy  – an extension of our community, a meeting place. We view coffee & pastry as a way of bringing people together.

We are very proud of our café and look forward to bringing our love for specialty coffee, tasty treats and exceptional hospitality to Caln Township in 2027 when we open our 2nd location. A true destination, the Caln location will be the premier Specialty Coffee House and Bakery for the people of Chester County to enjoy and cherish for years to come.
